ROUNDUP : Harvard Still Perfect After Narrow Escape

Share

Chaminade High center Carmen Rossi missed a four-foot shot as time expired, and Harvard-Westlake escaped with a 52-51 victory in a Mission League basketball game Wednesday night.

Harvard-Westlake improved to 13-0 (3-0 in league play) while Chaminade (4-8, 0-3) lost its sixth game of the season by fewer than three points.

Although Chaminade did not have a starter taller than 6-feet-2, the Eagles managed to stay in the game by running a deliberate, spread offense that did not allow Harvard-Westlake’s Collins twins (Jason, 6-8, and Jaron, 6-7) to be effective inside on defense.
