Wrong-Way Driver on Freeway Hits Car
A wrong-way motorist on the Golden State Freeway in Sylmar crashed his car into a second vehicle Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, who was not identified, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, Officer Frank Lewis said.
The accident occurred about 5:16 a.m. near Balboa Boulevard, when a motorist heading south in the northbound lanes of the freeway crashed into a second car. Lewis said he did not know the extent of the injuries in the crash, but it appeared from reports that they were not serious.
