PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP : Corona del Mar Boys Beat No. 2 Santa Margarita

Dustin Lee scored with nine minutes left in the game to give No. 7 Corona del Mar a 2-1 victory over No. 2 Santa Margarita in a Sea View League boys’ soccer game Monday at Santa Margarita.
Matt Blasdel gave Santa Margarita (8-1-2, 2-1) the early lead, but Garth Turner tied the score for the Sea Kings 26 minutes into the second half. Goalkeeper Bryan Halley, in his first varsity game, had five saves for Corona del Mar (10-2-2, 3-0).
In another Sea View League game:
Saddleback 3, Irvine 0--John Maldonado, Carlos Vizcaino and Juan Arreola scored for host Saddleback (10-2-2, 2-0-1).
Newport Harbor 2, Tustin 2--Chris Ketcham and Dom Fratantaro scored early in the second half to give Newport Harbor (2-6-4, 0-2-1) a 2-1 lead. Tustin tied the score with less than 10 minutes to play.
In Sea View League girls’ soccer:
Santa Margarita 5, Corona del Mar 1--Erica DeVitis scored three goals and Annie Luke had three assists for Santa Margarita (7-4-1, 3-0). Julie Garrison scored the only goal for Corona del Mar. Santa Margarita plays host to Newport Harbor today in a showdown of unbeaten Sea View League teams.
Woodbridge 2, University 0--Brittany Tase scored a first-half goal and Jessica Allen added a goal in the second half for Woodbridge (5-6-2, 1-1-1). The Warriors goaltenders, Courtney Spelber and Shelley Ybarra, combined for three saves and Jill Krupoff of University recorded eight saves.
Newport Harbor 1, Tustin 1--Shellie Bradbury scored with four minutes remaining to give Newport Harbor (6-5-2, 2-0-1) the tie.
