PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE ROUNDUP : Trabuco Hills Trails Early, Then Rolls

Ryan Karnoff’s 24 points helped rally Trabuco Hills (17-4, 5-0), the fourth-ranked team in Orange County, from a one-point halftime deficit to an 82-56 victory over Costa Mesa in Pacific Coast League boys’ basketball Friday night at Costa Mesa High.
Trabuco Hills improved to 17-4, 5-0 in league play.
Lance Merrifield and Mike Freeman each had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Costa Mesa (6-13, 0-5).
In other Pacific Coast League games:
Century 48, Laguna Hills 47--Thomas Harmon scored 17 points, Hector Negrete added 11 and Ike Harmon had 10 to lead Century (18-3, 4-1), the ninth-ranked team in the county.
Jesse McDonald scored a game-high 18 points for Laguna Hills (7-11, 2-3).
Estancia 78, Laguna Beach 34--Junior guard Zack Richardson scored 17 points, including five three-pointers, for Estancia (12-8, 3-2).
Teammate Clay Frenz led the Eagles with a season-high 10 assists. Ian McDonald led Laguna Beach (4-14, 1-4) with eight points.
