PREP ROUNDUP : Boys’ Soccer Game Stopped After Fight

The Sea View League boys’ soccer game between Newport Harbor and Woodbridge was stopped 17 minutes into the second half because of a fight involving players from both teams. The officials left the field after the teams were separated.

Newport Harbor led, 3-2, at the time. Newport Harbor trailed, 2-1, at the half but rallied for two goals early in the second half before the altercation started.

The outcome of the game hasn’t been determined.

Corona del Mar 3, Tustin 0--Eric Olsen scored two goals in Corona del Mar’s victory. Roberto Intriago added one. Corona del Mar (18-2-3, 11-0-1) is tied for first place in the county with Mater Dei. Tustin is 10-8-2, 5-5-2.

Santa Margarita 5, Irvine 3--Seth George scored his county-leading 21st goal of the season for seventh-ranked Santa Margarita (13-3-4, 7-3-2).

In Sunset League field hockey:

Santiago 0, Edison 0--Santiago goalkeeper Jennifer Silveira held Sunset League champion Edison to a scoreless tie. Silveira had three saves. Edison is 11-2-1 in league. Santiago is 8-5-9, 4-2-8.
