Troy Girls Win Second League Title in Row

FULLERTON — Troy withstood an intense fourth-quarter rally by Fullerton and hung on to win, 56-54, to clinch the Freeway League girls’ basketball title Tuesday at Fullerton High.
It was the second consecutive league title for Troy (17-5, 9-0 in league). Jennie Gadd had 22 points and 15 rebounds for Troy.
Troy outscored Fullerton, 19-11, in the third quarter to take a 47-28 lead into the final quarter. Fullerton outscored the Warriors, 26-9, in the final eight minutes.
