COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Orange Coast Beats Golden West in Volleyball, Remains Undefeated

Orange Coast remained undefeated by beating Golden West in five games in an Orange Empire Conference men’s volleyball match Friday night at OCC.

Jason Krone had 21 kills and Lance Perry added 12 for the Pirates, who won, 15-13, 15-12, 6-15, 12-15, 15-5. Orange Coast is 4-0.

Andy Kijewski recorded 30 kills for Golden West (0-4).

In Orange Empire Conference of men’s swimming:

Orange Coast 53, Cypress 41--Richard Ruffinin won the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle for Orange Coast (1-0).

Saddleback 136, Riverside 92--Tory Dober won the 200 individual medley and 200 breaststroke and Trevor Rodin won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle for Saddleback (1-0).

In Orange Empire Conference women’s swimming:

Orange Coast 55, Cypress 43--Sharon Clairmont won the 50 butterfly, 50 breaststroke and 100 individual medley to lead Orange Coast (1-0).

Saddleback 164, Riverside 125--Emilie Pavolovich took first place in the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle and 50 breaststroke for Saddleback (1-0).
