MISSION VIEJO : St. Patrick’s Parade Gets Family Theme

Share

The International Year of the Family will be the theme of the city’s 25th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday.

Parade floats will emphasize the world’s rich cultural diversity by honoring families from different backgrounds and heritages. Special recognition will also be given to organizers of the first St. Patrick’s Day parade in Mission Viejo and to the U.S. World Cup Soccer team.

Original organizers Tom Mitchel, Bob Ramsey and Bob Brennon and their families will ride in a special yellow fire engine. Another special float will transport the soccer team, which trains in Mission Viejo and will compete in the World Cup this summer.
