Fire officials are seeking leads in an arson fire at a day-care center, one of two fires Sunday in South County.

The fire at Kindercare, 25261 Paseo de Alicia, in Laguna Hills, broke out about 3 p.m. in a 200-square-foot commercial building.

No one was injured, but damage to the outside of the building was estimated at $15,000.

The fire is being called an arson, and officials are asking anyone with possible leads to call (714) 744-0400.

The second fire happened about 8 p.m. in a house at 31171 Casa Grande Drive in San Juan Capistrano.

Although the residents were home, no one was injured, and firefighters extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes.

The owners had been preparing to sell their home and had amassed some cardboard boxes in the garage.

Officials said a light bulb there caught the boxes on fire, and it spread throughout the house, causing more than $110,000 in damage to the structure and contents.
