Garritson didn’t take it easy during the days leading up to the Arcadia Invitational. She ran the 880, mile, two-mile and the mile relay in two dual meets, winning each of the individual races and helping the Coyotes in a loss to Sonora and a victory over Sunny Hills. Then Saturday, she won the 3,200 meters in 10 minutes 39.33 seconds, the best high school time in the nation this season. It’s not Garritson’s best, however; she set the Orange County record of 10:28.2 during her sophomore year, running for Sunny Hills.

Other notables:

* Kristi Bolle, El Modena, batted .538 with three homers and 11 RBIs and struck out eight in six innings to pick up a victory.

* Lisa Hess, Canyon, won the 100 butterfly in a county-best 1:00.40 and the 200 free (1:59.9) in a victory over Orange.
