Titans Rout Northridge in Baseball

Jeff Ferguson drove in three runs to help Cal State Fullerton’s pound Cal State Northridge, 13-1, in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday night at Cal State Fullerton.

Dante Powell and Mark Kotsay each had two RBIs. Powell had two hits, including a triple, and scored two runs.

Brian Loyd had two hits and scored two runs and Jason Gill had two hits, two runs and one RBI.

The Titans scored in five of the eight innings they batted.

Chad Rolish (7-3), who entered the game in fifth inning, got the victory for Fullerton, striking out four and giving up two hits in three innings.

Mark Kotsay, a freshman from Santa Fe High in Santa Fe Springs, started for Fullerton. He gave up three hits in two innings before being replace by Jon Ward. Ward gave up one hits and one run in two innings.

Joey Arnold drove in Northridge’s in the third inning.

Fullerton improved to 36-10; Northridge is 24-26.
