DIVISION II BASEBALL PLAYOFFS

In other Division II games:

Canyon 25, Perris 2--Casey Wilson and Scott Redfox each had four hits and three runs scored for the Comanches (21-5), as they scored 10 runs in the sixth inning.

Gunnar Strunz and Darren Chandler also each had three hits and four RBIs. Canyon will play Brea-Olinda on Tuesday at a site to be determined.

Fullerton 3, Covina 1--Shortstop Keith Ginter hit two home runs to drive in all of the Indians’ runs. Ginter, a senior, hit a one-run shot in the fourth, and a two-run homer in the fifth. Ryan Golisano pitched a complete game, giving up four hits for Fullerton (21-5). Covina finishes at 13-9.

Redondo Beach Redondo 8, Foothill 3--Pitchers Scott Alben and Steve Rawson combined for Redondo (23-4), scattering 10 hits.

Jeff Pickler had three hits and two RBIs for Foothill (12-14). For Redondo, Steve Rawson and Morgan Ensberg each had two hits and two RBIs.

Valencia 10, Villa Park 3--Dan Lincavage’s two-out, two-run triple highlighted an eight-run sixth inning for Valencia (13-12).

Lincavage finished with two hits, as did Louis Garcia, who also had a home run and two RBIs. Valencia will play Moreno Valley Valley View Tuesday at a site to be determined.
