Name: SETH ETHERTON

School/Year: Dana Hills, Sr.

Position: Pitcher

One of the top high school pitchers in the nation. He was 17-3 in two years. He finished second in the county in strikeouts this season. He had 15 strikeouts in a 3-0 victory over Mater Dei. A two-time all-county selection. He struck out 102 batters as a junior. He has signed with USC.

Name: RYAN GOLISANO

School/Year: Fullerton, Sr.

Position: Pitcher

Led the Indians to the Freeway League title. Closed out regular season with back-to-back three-hit shutouts. His fastball has been clocked in the upper 80 m.p.h. and he posses a wicked breaking ball. He had a season-high 12 strikeouts in six innings against Sunny Hills.

Name: ADAM HARRIS

School/Year: Mater Dei, Sr.

Position: Pitcher

Matured into an outstanding pitcher this season. He threw a no-hitter against San Clemente and also had two one-hitters. A big reason why the Monarchs were South Coast League champions. Allowed only 20 hits in 58 innings pitched. Had lowest ERA in the county.

Name: JIM LIVERNOIS

School/Year: La Quinta, Sr.

Position: Pitcher

Led the Aztecs to the Garden Grove League title for the second consecutive season. Had 35 career victories heading into the playoffs. Won his last six regular-season games. Was The Times’ county player of the year in 1993. Also hit .355 with three home runs and 22 runs batted in.

Name: BRIAN LOGAN

School/Year: Troy, Sr.

Position: Catcher

A three-year starter and a multitalented player. Besides his hitting abilities, he has one of the strongest arms in the county. Only catcher to throw out Buena Park’s Espinosa Francisco, who had 28 stolen bases. In football, he was a two-time All-Freeway League selection as a quarterback.

Name: RYAN FULLERTON

School/Year: El Toro, Sr.

Position: First Baseman

A three-year starter and a big reason why the Chargers qualified for the Southern Section Division I playoffs. In the final week, he drove in the run in a 1-0 victory over Mater Dei, then had three hits and a RBI in a 3-1 victory over the Monarchs to get El Toro into the playoffs.

Position: Infielder

A three-year starter who is consider one of the top high school prospects in the nation. A two-time all-county selection. He had a school-record 39 runs batted in as a junior in leading the Tillers to the Division III title. He played in the Olympic Festival last summer. He has signed with USC.

Position: Infielder

A four-year starer and two-time all-county selection. He set county career records with 155 hits and 128 runs scored. He had 11 home runs to lead the county as a junior. His 23 career home runs are second most in county history. He played in the Olympic Festival and has signed with UCLA.

Name: BRAD TICEHURST

Position: Infielder

A solid fielder and a powerful hitter. He hit four home runs in four games at one point this season. He had five runs batted in against San Clemente. He also is a good base runner. He stole 13 bases, including three in a game against Irvine. He had five hits in that game.

Position: Outfielder

A two-year starter. A dangerous hitter who led a potent lineup in runs batted in. He had six RBIs in a game against Foothill with a double, triple and home run. He had seven doubles, five triples and eight stolen bases during the regular season. He is also a talented soccer player.

Position: Outfielder

A two-year starter and another powerful bat in the Comanche order. He led the team in doubles and shared the team lead in home runs during the regular season. He had four hits and three runs scored in a victory over Perris in the first-round of the Southern Section Division II playoffs.

A three-year starter who helped the Barons win the Sunset League title for the second consecutive season. He has hit two grand slams this season and has three in his career. An all-league selection last season. A solid defensive player, who has played all three outfield positions.

Started off hot, hitting .519 with four home runs and 17 runs batted in the first two weeks. He was among the county leaders in home runs and RBIs. He hit for the cycle against Valencia with four RBIs. Had six home runs as a junior. He has signed with Cal State Fullerton.

Considered one of the top high school pitchers in the nation. His fastball has been clocked as fast as 94 m.p.h. He was 7-2 with a 2.99 earned-run average and led the county with 100 strikeouts. Right-hander threw a no-hitter against Laguna Hills. Hits for power and average.
