Splash Loses to Sidekicks in Dallas
The Splash, which Friday beat the second-best team in the Eastern Division, didn’t fair as well against first-place Dallas on Saturday at Reunion Arena.
The Sidekicks scored the game’s first four goals on their way to a 9-6 victory before 7,408 fans. Dallas leads its division with a 10-2 record.
The Splash (9-4) was coming off a 9-6 victory over Monterrey at home Friday.
David Doyle and Eric Dade scored two goals each in the first half as Dallas took a 4-0 lead into halftime. Each finished with three goals and Tatu added two more for the Sidekicks.
Dade scored with 3 minutes 52 seconds left, but Dallas went ahead 9-4.
Raffaele Ruotolo and Dale Ervine each scored twice for the Splash, which plays host to the Washington Warthogs on Tuesday night at The Pond of Anaheim.
