O.C. Cardinals in Regional Final
The Orange County Cardinals won two games Sunday to advance to the title game of the Connie Mack Pacific Region Championship in Cherry Creek, Colo.
The Cardinals beat the Lafayette (Calif.) Generals, 16-3, and the Albuquerque (N.M.) Rebels, 10-6. Orange County is undefeated in the double-elimination tournament.
Greg Hanioan was six for seven, scored four runs and drove in two in the two games for the Cardinals, who play Lafayette again today for a chance to advance to Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M.
