SOUTH GATE : Deadly Fire Prompts Prevention Effort
- Share via
Target Stores and the city have combined efforts to promote fire safety and prevention, in response to the tragic fire that took the life of a mother and two of her children last month.
As part of their annual “Good Neighbor” program, Target Stores is promoting “Be Smart, Be Safe” to city residents who do not have smoke detectors installed in their homes. The monthlong promotion continues through Oct. 28.
Target employees offer free installation of smoke detectors purchased at the Target at 5700 Firestone Blvd. in the homes of families and seniors throughout the city. A free pamphlet will also be passed out on how to prevent home fire emergencies and how to react in the event of a fire at home.
