Funk Carries Village Christian, 15-12

Jacob Funk rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns in 40 carries Saturday, leading Village Christian to a 15-12 Alpha League victory over Marshall Fundamental.

Aaron Funk of Village Christian (4-3, 2-0 in league play) intercepted a pass early in the fourth quarter that led to a game-winning one-yard touchdown run by Jacob Funk.

Jacob Funk scored on a two-yard run in the second quarter.

Marshall Fundamental (1-6, 1-1) had a 12-7 halftime lead. Jonathan Chambers threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Shamar Griffin and Patrick Walker returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown.
