Coach Has Discovered the Fountain of Youth

How nice to read an article on Marijon Ancich (Oct. 21) and how he brought back the St. Paul Swordsmen to a place of prominence in prep football. Those of us who knew him as the wingback on San Pedro High’s 1950 championship team could not help but notice his age listed as 56. The rest of the class of June, 1951, blew out 61 candles on their last birthday. Could it be that he has confused his own age with younger brother Hendi, the NFL official? Evidently, high school coaching keeps a man young.
