Corona del Mar Advances in Tennis

NEWPORT BEACH — Nina Vaughan didn’t lose a game at No. 1 singles for Corona del Mar High and the third-seeded Sea Kings defeated Agoura Hills, 15-3, in first round of the Southern Section Division I tennis playoffs Monday at Corona del Mar.

Megan Wachtler won, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1, and Alissa Scott won, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2. Corona del Mar plays host to Santa Barbara San Marcos at 1:30 p.m. today in the second round.
