South Gate 19, San Fernando 15--Hoffman Cortes rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries as the Rams won at South Gate.
Juan Vasquez completed five of 10 passes for 116 yards, including a 76-yard scoring pass in the second quarter for South Gate (10-1).
Quarterback Larry Logan completed five of six passes for 74 yards and rushed for 37 yards in 19 carries for San Fernando (5-6).
San Fernando took a 7-0 lead before South Gate scored three consecutive touchdowns. At the end of the third quarter, the Tigers pulled to within 19-15 on a five-yard run by Keijuan Douglas and his conversion run.
A comeback attempt by San Fernando ended with 2:34 left in the game when Lavell Thompson lost a fumble on the San Fernando 43-yard line.
