Brad Holland played quarterback on the 1973 Crescenta Valley High football team that won the Southern Section 3-A Division championship. Holland, who went on to star in basketball at UCLA and play for the Lakers, helped the Falcons post a 12-1 record.
Crescenta Valley defeated Monrovia, 14-7, in the final after posting playoff victories of 25-0 over Pomona, 35-8 over Thousand Oaks and 34-19 over St. John Bosco.
