ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST: Hikers discovered human remains near a shooting range Sunday. Sheriff’s investigators found a shirt, a boot, 13 bones and a pair of jeans near the Pigeon Ridge shooting area, deputies said. The evidence will be analyzed by the coroner.

POMONA: A 32-year-old Pomona man was shot and killed Saturday by three or four men who chased him in a car. Jeffrey Buchanan was walking on Garey Avenue about 2:45 p.m. when the men followed him with their car into an alley and shot him. The motive for the shooting is unknown.

POMONA: Three teen-age boys were arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of shooting a bakery owner during a robbery attempt and robbing another business 10 minutes later. The boys, a 15-year-old from Pomona, a 15-year-old from Claremont a 14-year-old from Pomona, are being held on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall. On Monday night, Juan Peraza, 38, owner of Ensenada Bakery in the 1300 block of S. Garey Avenue, was shot in the stomach by one of three teen-agers who demanded he open the cash register but fled without taking money. Ten minutes later, the same trio entered Taco Tapatia in the 2000 block of N. Garey Avenue, fired one shot at a cashier and fled with an undisclosed sum of money, police said. No one was injured in the second robbery.

ROSEMEAD: One man was killed and three others wounded, one critically, after a fight outside a bar early Tuesday morning. The names of the victims, all of whom were in their 20s, were not released because their relatives had not been notified, sheriff’s deputies said. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Rose Bowl bar in the 8700 block of Rosemead Boulevard just before 2 a.m., deputies said.
