ARCADIA: A 34-year-old transient was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of bank robbery and evading arrest. Robert Lee was being held without bail at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles, police said. About 3 p.m. Saturday, a man armed with a semiautomatic handgun robbed the Great Western Bank in the 700 block of West Huntington Drive. Bank employees called police, who followed the suspect to the 300 block of Fairview Avenue, where he crashed his car into a pole, police said. He then reportedly fled into a home and fought with the homeowner, who apparently was not seriously injured. After a standoff with officers, the suspect surrendered at about 1 a.m., police said.

LA PUENTE: A 20-year-old man was killed Saturday in a gang-related shooting, sheriff’s deputies reported. Eric Matthew Leos was shot at about 1:15 a.m. in the 16600 block of Ellora Street, deputies said. He died at about 4 a.m. at Queen of the Valley Hospital. Investigators have no suspects in the shooting.

POMONA: Police have arrested 67 suspects in a two-day prostitution sweep. Fifty-seven men were arrested for allegedly soliciting undercover female officers; 10 men were arrested for allegedly soliciting undercover male officers.
