PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Price Is Right for His Protection

Share

The Raider practice field looked like a driving range early Wednesday morning.

Offensive linemen Steve Wisniewski, Kevin Gogan and Dan Turk were chipping golf balls, trying out the new clubs presented to them by quarterback Jeff Hostetler.

Hostetler gave each of his linemen a set of clubs and a golf bag as a reward for their season of protection.

“It was a great gesture on his part,” lineman Greg Skrepenak said. “He’s a great individual and he just showed it. We thank him and, hopefully, we’ll show our thanks by giving him all the time (he needs to pass) on Saturday.”

Asked how many of the linemen play golf, Hostetler said, “We’ll find out.”

Safety Eddie Anderson, who missed last Sunday’s game because of a groin pull, did not practice Wednesday, but Coach Art Shell won’t rule him out for Saturday.
