Tom Flores’ future as coach and general manager of the Seattle Seahawks will be decided later this week when he meets with majority owner Ken Behring.

Flores, 57, refused on Monday to speculate on what Behring might do. Based on Behring’s public comments about the Seahawks’ 6-10 record and a meeting the owner had this month with Bill Walsh, the Seattle media is indicating Flores is finished.

“Yeah, it probably is,” Flores replied when asked if his job was in jeopardy.

In three seasons, Flores is 14-34, including a 4-20 record and three last-place finishes in the AFC West.

Flores said his meeting with Behring, a land developer, will take place in Behring’s Blackhawk development in Danville, Calif. He wouldn’t say when they’d meet.

“It’s within the next day or two,” Flores said.

Flores said he is scheduled to meet with his assistants, including offensive coordinator Larry Kennan and defensive coordinator Rusty Tillman, at team headquarters Thursday morning to tell them about their job future. The contracts of all 12 assistants are up.

The Cincinnati Bengals fired special teams coach Marv Braden but indicated there would be no other substantive changes in a team that finished 3-13 for the third time in four seasons.

Special teams play directly cost the team two games this season. The Bengals allowed two punt returns and a kickoff return for touchdowns and had a punt blocked in the end zone for a touchdown.
