San Clemente’s Quade Too Much for Cougars
Kristen Quade scored 11 of her team-high 14 points in the third quarter as San Clemente beat host Capistrano Valley, 51-45, in a South Coast League girls’ basketball game Thursday.
The score was tied, 24-24, at the half but San Clemente (15-8, 6-1 in league) outscored Capistrano Valley, 21-9, in the third quarter. Quade also had 11 rebounds in the game.
Jennifer Garrett scored a game-high 26 for Capistrano Valley (10-11, 2-6).
San Clemente trails first-place Mater Dei by a game and the teams meet at 7:30 Saturday at San Clemente.
