Facts and Figures: Academy League power Liberty Christian’s talent ranges from catcher Paul Malcom (.471) to pitcher Greg Rule (4-5, 2.32 ERA, 64 strikeouts). . . . Capistrano Valley Christian, after struggling in the Olympic League, moves to the Academy. . . . SCC shortstop David Enda (.407 25 stolen bases) will continue to harass Arrowhead League foes with his speed.. . . . Heritage Christian needs its pitching to mature by the start of Express League play.
1994 In Review
Highlights: St. Margaret’s won the Academy League championship and reached the Division VI quarterfinals, losing to Downey Calvary Chapel, 6-1. Liberty Christian finished third in league and lost to Anza Hamilton, 6-0, in the first round. . . . St. Margaret’s Bobby Masters (7-1, 0.93) had with the county’s second-lowest earned-run average. . . . Heritage Christian finished second in the Express League and lost to Redlands Arrowhead Christian, 8-0, in the second round. Heritage Christian’s Eric Carreon (.600) led the county in hitting. . . . SCC tied for third in the Arrowhead League but lost in the second round to Temecula Linfield, 17-2.
