Facts and Figures: Southern California Christian has five starters returning, and despite its inexperience--all are sophomores--the Flames are favored to repeat as Arrowhead League champions. Anne Cunningham batted .541 with 25 RBIs, and Adria Pinkham batted .417. The Flames lost Carrie Ridgeway (.448), who transferred to Katella. . . . St. Margaret’s dethroned two-time champ Liberty Christian for the Academy title last season.

1994 In Review

Highlights: SCC finished the year with five players batting .397 or better: Cunningham, Jen Nichols (.476), Ridgeway, Liz Gaez (.423) and Jamie Sanders (.397). Nichols, a third baseman, was the league’s MVP. SCC (11-8) was defeated in the first round of the Division V playoffs, 6-1, by Beaumont--the third-place team from the Skyline League. . . . St. Margaret’s won the Academy League (11-3) title, then beat Pacific Shores, 8-1, in the playoff’s opening round before falling to Hesperia Christian, 7-2. . . . Liberty Christian finished second in the Academy League and also reached the second round before losing to eventual champion Linfield, 5-0.
