In other conference games:

Fullerton 5, Orange Coast 1--Cindy Escobedo had two doubles and a single, stole two bases and scored a run for host Fullerton (17-4, 7-2). Stephanie Mendoza (9-1) pitched a three-hitter and the run she gave up was unearned. Mendoza has not given up an earned run in 36 1/3 innings of conference play.

Irvine Valley 3, Golden West 2--Lisa Ramos drove in one run and scored another as Irvine Valley (3-15, 2-7) won its second consecutive game. It is the first time in school history that the Lasers have won two in a row. Mindy Cook had two hits for Irvine Valley.

Saddleback 3, Riverside 0--Stacy Lumley gave up three hits, one walk and struck out five for Saddleback (13-7, 5-4). She also had one hit and scored a run.

In Orange Empire conference men’s golf:

Cypress 384, Rancho Santiago 397, Riverside 398--Brian Ricketts shot one-under-par 71 for Cypress (5-2 in conference) at Moreno Valley Ranch. Rancho Santiago’s Robert Nelson also shot 71.

In South Coast Conference women’s swimming:

Golden West 99, Pasadena 29; Golden West 109, Fullerton 20; Fullerton 66, Pasadena 50--Leslie Carr won the 50 freestyle in 27.98 second and the 100 butterfly (1:05.97) to lead Golden West (3-0).

In South Coast Conference men’s swimming:

Golden West 80, Fullerton 20; Golden West 79, Pasadena 15; Fullerton 53, Pasadena 43--Rafael Guijarro won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:01.17 and the 200 butterfly (2:04.33) for Golden West (3-0).

In Orange Empire Conference men’s volleyball:

Irvine Valley 3, Mount San Antonio 0--John Habben had 17 kills and six blocks for Irvine Valley in a 15-10, 15-9, 15-5 sweep.
