In the Golden West League:

Santa Ana 74, Westminster 61--Carlos Rodriguez won the 100 and 200 and anchored Santa Ana’s winning 1,600 relay team.

In the Orange League:

Savanna 81, Anaheim 51--Senior Mike Flores won the 220 in 22.4 and the 440 in 50.7 and junior Eric Shine won the long jump (21- 3/4) and 100 (10.3) for host Savanna (2-1, 1-0).

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 74, San Clemente 62--Alberto Sanchez was a double winner in the 1,600 and 3,200 to lead Capistrano Valley (1-0 in league). Cheyenne Dixon won the long jump (19-11 1/2) and triple jump (40-10 3/4) for San Clemente.

In Century League girls’ track and field:

Villa Park 87, Canyon 49--Jenni Rees became the first Century League girl to win the pole vault, clearing 7-6.

In the Golden West League:

Westminster 92, Santa Ana 36--Susie Packard won the 100 and 200 and took first in the triple jump (13-9) for Westminster.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 68, San Clemente 58--Tashay Hill took first in the 100 and 200 and Nancy Dollar won the 1,600 and 3,200, but San Clemente (1-2, 0-1) came up short.

In Express League baseball:

Heritage Christian 7, Huntington Beach Claremont 5--Dave Acheson, who went three for five, hit a double to dive in Jerry Jones and Jason Burns in the ninth inning for the winning runs. Chris Myrtle, who replaced Acheson in the third inning, pitched the remaining six innings for Heritage Christian (4-3, 1-0) and had nine strikeouts.

In nonleague baseball:

Westminster 10, Brea Olinda 6--Danny Sanchez pitched five innings to pick up his first victory of the season and Ricki Saunders was two for three with two runs scored for Westminster (7-2).

In Century League golf:

Villa Park 203, Orange 239--Dave Lee shot a three-over-par 39 and Adam Hambarian and Geoff Cohn shot a four-over par 40 to lead Villa Park (8-2, 2-0) at Green River.

In nonleague golf:

Los Amigos 204, Katella 221--Matt Stafford shot a two-over-par 38 to lead Los Amigos (9-3) at Mile Square. Brian Chin shot a three-over-par 39 for Katella.

Newport Harbor 205, University 206--Billy Collopy shot a three-over-par 39 to lead visiting Newport Harbor (7-0) at Rancho San Jacquin. David Anduri also shot a 39 for University (5-6).

Santa Margarita 184, Estancia 206--Greg Pittenger shot a two-under 34 and Steve Wagner shot a par 36 for Santa Margarita (5-0), which had all five golfers under 40 at Tijeras Creek.

In nonleague softball:

Brea Olinda 3, Esperanza 0--Catie Proseta had a two-run double in the fourth inning and Gretchen Thompson went the distance giving up four hits and five strikeouts for Brea Olinda (4-2).

Cypress 12-1, Westminster 4-0--In Game 1, Nikki Nunes went three for four with eight runs batted in, including a three-run triple and a grand slam and Julie Adams hit a solo home run in the second game for Cypress (5-2).

Fountain Valley 2, Rosary 1--Junior Keary Camunas pitched a no-hitter for host Fountain Valley (5-5). Laurie Gillis drove in the winning run with an RBI-single in the fifth inning.

Savanna 4, Costa Mesa 1--Jaime Racke went the distance, giving up only one run on three hits with nine strikeouts for Savanna (5-4). Niki Montgomery (4-3) allowed four unearned runs with five strikeouts for Costa Mesa (6-3).

In boys’ nonleague tennis:

Esperanza 10, Fountain Valley 8--Devin Lopez swept his singles’ matches 6-3, 7-6, 6-4 to lead Esperanza (3-5, 1-0). It was the only singles’ victories for Esperanza.

Foothill 15, Garden Grove 3--Matt Franklin and Dan Greenwood swept at No. 3 doubles, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2, for host Foothill (8-1).

Santa Margarita 13, San Clemente 5--Sophomore Andrew Tsu swept No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2, and senior Kiarash Tofigh swept No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5, for visiting Santa Margarita (5-4).
