HUNTINGTON BEACH : Couple Tied Up; Men Ransack House, Flee
Two men forced their way into a home Thursday and tied up the residents before fleeing with $240, authorities said.
About 9:30 a.m., the assailants entered the home of Troy Fox and Gisvla Oviatt, both 37, in the 1400 block of Lakeside Lane, Police Sgt. Les Robinson said. The men bound the couple and ransacked the house, police said.
The residents freed themselves and called police, who described the suspects as stocky white males between the ages of 20 and 30, each wearing a dark scarf around his head.
One assailant was about 5 feet 7 and 175 pounds with light brown hair. The second man was about 5 feet 8 and 185 pounds with dark brown hair.
