A 31-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a Pizza Hut delivery car as she crossed Saticoy Street in Reseda, police said Sunday.
The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was heading to a market about 10:30 p.m. Saturday with a 35-year-old male friend, when they crossed Saticoy just west of Tampa Avenue, Los Angeles Police Sgt. John Gambill said.
A Toyota Celica, driven by Rony Estuardo Hernandez Hildago, 22, of Canoga Park struck the pedestrians, killing the woman, Gambill said. The man suffered several broken bones but is expected to live, authorities said.
Gambill said Hildago was returning from a delivery and was neither intoxicated nor driving over the speed limit. He was interviewed by police and released.
