El Camino College football players Saladin McCullough and Treyvone Towns were arrested Monday in Pasadena on charges of grand theft auto, South Pasadena police said.
McCullough and Towns were apprehended in Pasadena while in possession of a 1992 Lexus that had been reported stolen from a Glendale resident. They were held overnight in jail, arraigned on Tuesday morning and released pending further investigation.
Both players had committed to play at USC in 1993 but did not qualify academically. They attended Pasadena City College in 1994 before transferring to El Camino early this year.
