Corona del Mar 48, Garden Grove 7--Corona del Mar quarterback Josh Walz completed all 10 of his passes for 168 yards and one touchdown, and reserve quarterback Mike McClellan completed all four of his passes for 82 yards, including two 30-yard touchdown passes.

Corona del Mar has outscored its opponents this year, 90-7.

Darren MacDonald caught four passes for 98 yards, including one of McClellan’s 30-yard strikes to lead the Sea Kings’ receiving corps.

Corona del Mar scored on seven long drives, running out the final 1 minute 54 seconds of the game on their eighth drive.

McClellan, a junior, replaced Walz early in the second quarter and he responded with his 30-yard strike to MacDonald over the middle with 7:27 left in the second quarter.

Corona del Mar had 456 yards total offense, including 250 passing yards. They compiled 22 first downs, including 13 in the first half. The Sea Kings have outscored their opponents 69-0 in the first half.

San Diego Francis Parker 9, St. Margaret’s 0--St. Margaret’s forced four turnovers and limited host Francis Parker to nine points.

St. Margaret’s (0-2) was limited to less than 150 yards total offense. Justin Jameson led the Tartans with 24 yards rushing and Reza Asgeri had caught three passes and had three interceptions.

Francis Parker got a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter and added a 30-yard touchdown pass in the third.

Quarterback Mike Heydenrych passed for 101 yards, but completed only six of 30 passes with three interceptions.

Templeton 48, Southern California Christian 32--SCC lost four of its 15 players to injury and was no match for Templeton.

Two players were sent to the hospital with head injuries, including running back Jason Piecenza, who rushed for two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Jeremy Smith added a 25-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for SCC before leaving because of an injury. David Mack scored the Flames’ other touchdown on a 35-yard pass from Steve Schenhoven in the second quarter.
