Sylmar 42, Canoga Park 6--Kevin Brown returned the second-half kickoff 89 yards and returned an interception 45 yards for another score, leading the Spartans to a 21-point third quarter at Canoga Park.
The Spartans (4-0, 1-0) won their 18th game in a row. Durell Price ran for 80 yards in 12 carries and scored twice for Sylmar.
Canoga Park (1-3, 0-1) gained 120 yards rushing and 53 yards passing.
