In other nonleague games:

La Puente Nogales 21, Orange Lutheran 6--Orange Lutheran scored on its opening drive, but allowed 21 unanswered points the rest of the way, falling to La Puente Nogales at Nogales High.

Trailing by 15 midway through the fourth quarter, Orange Lutheran (3-2) started a drive on its 10-yard line after Chris Amato recovered a fumble. The Lancers used 15 plays to reach the Nogales 28-yard line, but a pass by Justin Smith was intercepted.

Orange Lutheran scored when Smith charged in from one yard out to cap a 79-yard opening drive.

But touchdown runs of 45 and 53 yards by Nogales' Demetrius Stampley put the Nobles ahead, 14-6, at halftime.

Che Holloway ran for 124 yards in 22 carries for Orange Lutheran.

Troy 31, Estancia 27--Jason Ferren returned a fumble by Estancia's Bachy Gonzalez 26 yards for touchdown with 6:24 left to play to give Troy (3-2) a victory at Newport Harbor High.

Estancia (4-1) had taken a 27-24 lead earlier in the quarter on a 13-yard touchdown run by James Dawkins.

Estancia had two opportunities to retake the lead late in the fourth quarter. On fourth down and one, Kevin Roach stopped Dawkins behind the line of scrimmage with 3:59 left.

Estancia had one more chance, but Aaron Mason intercepted a Jeff Perry pass and Troy ran out the clock.
