COLLEGE ROUNDUP : SCC Defeats Biola in Soccer

Mike DeCosta and Chuy Miramontes each had a goal and an assist to help Southern California College defeat Biola, 4-1, in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer game at Biola Wednesday.

Phil Marquez and Peter Schumerth also scored goals for SCC (7-7, 2-2 in conference). Biola is 5-8, 1-3.

In another Golden State Athletic Conference match:

Fresno Pacific 3, Concordia 0--Fresno Pacific (8-3-1, 4-0), ranked 17th in the NAIA, outshot SCC (1-11, 0-4), 17-6.

In nonconference men’s soccer:

Chapman 5, Christian Heritage 0--Dustin Kemmerer scored three goals and Ryan Murff added two assists for Chapman (9-3), which led, 3-0, at the half.

In Mountain Pacific Sports Federation water polo:

USC 15, Long Beach State 8--Mateo Juric scored two two-point goals for USC (13-2, 2-2). Kip Parsons scored twice for Long Beach (5-8, 0-4).
