COLLEGE FOOTBALL : SOUTHLAND ROUNDUP : Millis Passes for Career High, but Mistakes Hurt Northridge
Cal State Northridge quarterback Clayton Millis completed 20 of 41 passes for a career-high 313 yards, but also was intercepted four times in a 27-8 loss to Western New Mexico on Saturday at Northridge.
By contrast, Western New Mexico’s Alfred Montez completed 20 of 33 passes for 177 yards and no interceptions for the Mustangs (3-3). Cal State Northridge is 1-4.
Ryan Hawkins passed for two touchdowns to lead Azusa Pacific (3-2-1) to a 28-7 victory over Occidental (1-4) at Azusa. . . . Fredrik Nanhed rushed for 313 yards in 46 carries as Cal Lutheran (2-2-1, 2-0) defeated Claremont-Mudd (1-4, 0-2), 38-24, in a SCIAC game at Thousand Oaks. . . . Danny Green passed for 315 yards and four touchdowns as Redlands (3-2, 3-1) defeated Pomona-Pitzer (3-3, 2-2) in a SCIAC game at Redlands.
