HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER ROUNDUP : Simi Valley Finds Enough Time to Win, 1-0

Sean Herrity’s goal in the final three minutes gave the Simi Valley High boys’ soccer team a 1-0 victory Friday over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League match at Simi Valley High.

The match appeared to have ended in a scoreless tie, but Simi Valley (3-1-2, 1-1 in league play) protested that officials had incorrectly halted the 80-minute contest three minutes early. After consultation, play was resumed and Herrity scored less than a minute later.

Matt Mahler made five saves for Thousand Oaks (1-4-3, 0-1-1).
