Arcadia center Akrum Alrahib led the Apaches into the semifinals of the Damien boys’ basketball tournament with 27 points in their 65-53 victory over Damien in the final game of pool play. Steve Baik scored 23 points as Arcadia improved to 6-1. . . . Arroyo’s Ralph Tafoya made a 65-foot shot at the buzzer to tie the score in regulation and then helped the Knights to a 69-66 double-overtime victory over Monrovia in the third-place game of the Centennial tournament. . . . Bishop Amat’s Jeff Jacaway scored 16 points and Damon Williams had 15 in the Lancers’ 73-57 victory over Glendale in a nonleague game. . . . Arroyo’s Aaron Miller won the 119-pound division of the Arroyo 24-team wrestling tournament. Covina’s Sergio Baraja won the 215-pound division. . . . San Marino’s George Hasbun was an all-tournament selection after San Marino lost to Alta Loma, 2-1, in the championship game of the 15th annual Wilson Holiday boys’ soccer tournament. Diamond Bar defeated Ayala, 2-1, on an overtime goal by Kevin Ward in the third-place game. . . .
