GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Oregon City Beats Brea to Make It Two in a Row

Oregon City (Ore.), ranked No. 1 nationally in the USA Today, beat an Orange County power for the second night in a row Thursday.

The Pioneers defeated Brea Olinda, 71-39, in the championship game of the Henderson (Nev.) Basic Lady Wolves Invitational.

Brea Olinda, ranked fourth in Orange County, dropped to 10-2. Oregon City is 7-0.

Oregon City beat the county's top-ranked team, Woodbridge, 75-54, in the semifinals.

Jennifer Saari, who had 11 points, made her first four shots for nine of Brea Olinda's first 13 points, and the Ladycats trailed, 19-13 after one quarter--as close as anyone has been to Oregon City at that point.
