Built For Pleasure, 143 to 1, Finds the Fountain of Youth

Built For Pleasure, a 143-1 shot, went four wide rounding the final turn and chased down favored Unbridled’s Song to win the $200,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes on Saturday in a three-horse photo finish.

Built For Pleasure won by a neck over Unbridled’s Song, the odds-on favorite, with Victory Speech a neck farther behind in the 1 1/16-mile Grade II stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Ridden by Gary Boulanger, Built For Pleasure paid $288.20, more than tripling the record in the Fountain of Youth. Green Gombados paid $88.40 in 1974.
