Mater Dei (31-1)--Starters: David Castleton, Jr., guard, 6-2, 4 assists; Kevin Augustine, 6-1. Jr., guard, 19.5 points, 4.7 assists, 4.6 rebounds; Brad Williams, 6-6, Sr., forward, 6.2 rebounds; Tom Lippold, 6-6, Jr., forward, 13 points; Mike Vukovich, 6-9, Jr., center, 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds.

Keys to the game--Mater Dei has been the little team that could all season and should win this. While much has been made of the Monarchs’ 10 Southern Section and three state titles, third-seeded Glendora has had an impressive championship run. The Tartans won section titles in 1990 and ‘92, and 12 Baseline League titles since 1980, including three in a row. Mater Dei has had ample experience shooting against big arena backdrops, such as the Pond, because it played home games during the regular season at the Bren Center. The top-seeded Monarchs have a height advantage, so look for Glendora to put up a lot of three-point shots, as it has all season.
