Golden West Rallies to Defeat Orange Coast

John Pangelinan's two-run single with one out in the bottom of the 12th inning gave host Golden West a 9-8 victory over Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference baseball game Saturday.

Orange Coast (14-4, 2-4 in conference) scored three runs in the top of the 12th on singles by Geoff Wilson and Deric Yanagisawa.

In other conference games:

Cypress 11, Saddleback 4--Randy Case was four for four with four runs batted in for Cypress (17-5, 5-1). Junior Rodriguez was two for three with three RBIs for the host Chargers.

Cypress pitcher Ara Petrosian pitched seven innings, giving up one run on six hits.

Riverside 3, Rancho Santiago 2 (10)--John Opina scored in the 10th inning on Mike McCurty's fielder's choice for Riverside (2-4). Derek Baker and Kevin Duck each had an RBI for the Dons (14-5, 3-3).

In the Golden West softball tournament:

Central Arizona 2, Rancho Santiago 0--Chelsey Sakizzie pitched a three-hitter for Central Arizona (13-12-1) in a consolation game.
