SEASON AT A GLANCE: If the Lancers plan on another successful season, they need Sheridan to keep making waves. A converted middle blocker, the 6-foot-8 outside hitter has helped the Lancers to a 2-0 start in the rugged Marmonte League. Sheridan leads Thousand Oaks in kills, blocks and aces.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Sheridan had 32 kills, nine blocks and eight aces in victories over Channel Islands and Camarillo. Sheridan was effective with his jump serve and his conversion of the quick set on the outside. “He’s swinging over people,” Thousand Oaks Coach James Park said. “As long he hits the ball high, he does just fine.”
