Kennedy Finds Five Ways to Tie Record

Adam Kennedy tied a school single-game record with five hits as Cal State Northridge cruised to an 18-6 victory Saturday over host Cal State Sacramento in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game.
Robert Fick was two for four with three runs batted in for the Matadors (27-6, 10-2 in conference play), stretching his hitting streak to 26 games.
Robert Crabtree (10-1) pitched five innings and allowed five earned runs. He picked up his WAC-leading 10th victory.
Sacramento is 6-21, 0-9.
Pepperdine 3-9, St. Mary’s 1-4--David Matranga had three hits, including a grand slam, and drove in six runs for the Waves (20-12, 10-1) in the second game of a West Coast Conference doubleheader at Pepperdine.
Eric Brubaker earned his sixth save of the season in the first game.
Oxnard 7, Pierce 4--The Condors pounded four Brahma pitchers for 16 hits in a Western State Conference interdivisional game at Pierce.
Eric Farias had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and Mike Muller added two doubles for Oxnard (16-6, 9-2).
Casey Doherty and Dave Cipolla each had two hits for Pierce (13-9, 5-5).
Canyons 8, Ventura 2--Nate Celusta allowed four hits and struck out four in eight innings to pace the Cougars (12-11, 9-2) in a WSC interdivisional game at Canyons.
Kasey Canale had two hits and Jeff Brown knocked in three runs for the Cougars.
Cuesta 17, Valley 7--Javier Dorado, Chris Butler and Chris Portugal each had two hits for the Monarchs (7-15, 4-6) in a WSC interdivisional game at Valley.
Moorpark 16, Bakersfield 7--Eric Jue had four hits and drove in five runs, and Ben Lemos had four hits and four RBIs for the Raiders (8-13, 5-5), who scored 12 runs in the sixth inning of a WSC interdivisional game at Bakersfield.
Glendale 11, Santa Barbara 2--Jamie Isenhart hit a home run and a double, and Rafael Lomeli added two hits for Glendale (8-14, 3-7) in a WSC interdivisional game at Glendale.
SOFTBALL
Cal Lutheran 6-14, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 0-2--Gina Delianedis pitched a one-hitter and Heidi Stevens followed with a two-hitter for the Regals (19-0, 14-0) in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Cal Lutheran.
