Cleveland State Coach Mike Boyd, 49, resigned after a tragedy-marred season in which the Vikings finished 5-21.
Last August, before the season started, Jamal Jackson, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder in 1994-95, was stabbed and killed in Boston.
The Vikings were 3-13 and finished last in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference.
