Women’s Dreams Need Help to Become Reality
Isn’t it ironic that The Times sports section carries a front-page article (“Hoop Dreams,” March 26) concerning how girls are looking more to female athletes as role models, while it buries the news of the women’s NCAA basketball tournament in a corner on Page 5? How can girl athletes have female role models when the media seem to be incapable of bringing to their attention a major event in women’s sports?
