Armed Robber Escapes Bank With $3,000
LAGUNA HILLS —
A man with a handgun tucked into his waistband robbed a Bank of America branch of $3,000 Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The man slipped a note to a teller demanding money, showed a gun beneath his shirt and then fled from the bank at 23710 Moulton Parkway, according to Lt. Jay Mendez of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The robber was described by witnesses as Asian with bleached brown hair. He is in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 and 150 pounds, and was wearing a green sweatshirt and sunglasses, Mendez said.
