Oxley Gets Speedway Win

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano won the scratch main of the Speedway Motorcycle racing event at the Orange County Fairgrounds Friday before a crowd of 5,315.

John Aden of Apple Valley was second, Steve Lucero of Riverside was third and Doug Nicol of Costa Mesa finished fourth.

Shawm McConnell of Brea won the eight-lap handicap main, with Gary Hicks of Riverside finishing second and Andy Northrup of Ontario third.
